No escape for the living hell of 1planhost

Having failed to extricate even 1 of my domains from 1planhost, I actually managed to get a support response from them by threatening to take them to abitration.

Those shysters 1planhost had 'released' control of my domain 'to me', BUT... it would be 60 days before I could do anything about it!

And guess what? That's right those sneaky bastards 1planhost had delayed this so long that 60 days would expire the domain - i.e. I WOULD BE FORCED TO RENEW MY DOMAIN WITH 1planhost theives or it would expire on me. In contrast, REAL hosts (i.e. ANYONE apart from 1planhost fuckers) simply exchange the registration record FOR YOU, and it's all done and dusted. Coincidentally I transferred a domain from easyhost who use the same system as those lying cowboys 1planhost, and I had complete control of my new domain and registration at godaddy within 4 hours.

Thanks, 1-planhost, you bunch of incompetent shits.

Heres what passes for 'support' at this execrable comapny, 1planhost.

Fwd: Transfer Acknowledgement

Hi,
We have released the administrative control of this domain registration as requested. You will receive an automated email at admin@x.com from our system prompting you to approve the transfer. You can login to our domain registration system here: http://www.1planhost.com/domains.asp. If you have a domain registration account on our system for another domain then you can use the login information for that domain so you can then have this domain included in that one account. If not, you will need to create yourself a new domain system account. Once you are logged in, select "Accept Account Change". You will be asked to provide the Transaction ID and Security Code from the auto email you received from us. Enter it and proceed to the checkout.
When your domain has been added to your account you will need to update the technical and billing contact information to your own information. Since we only pay the domain registration fees for as long as you're a customer of ours, if you do not update the billing information to yourself you will lose your domain name and it will be given back to the public for registration by someone else. So please remember to update the technical and billing contact information immediately.

NOTE: ICANN rules prohibit the transfer between registrars within 60 days of a transfer. Therefore, once we release the admin control of this domain to you (the registrant), you will need to wait at least 60 days in order to transfer it to another registrar if that is what you want to do. It is important to note however, that maintaining your domain registration at our registrar is much cheaper than most registrars and you can certainly register your domains at any registrar and host the domain elsewhere.

If you need to update your DNS name servers, you certainly can do that from our registration system. Just login to the account, select Manage Domains, click on your domain and modify the DNS name servers for your domain. Save your changes.

Have a nice weekend,
Marie
